People who have attested that this form of cardiovascular exercise can help lose weight at the same time keep you in shape. It can also be exhilaratingly fun, with a lot of people around you sharing the same torture of a hard workout like you do, of course, it would also depend on the kind of instructor you have. A cycling class, in the long run, and if you attend the same schedule all week, everybody becomes familiar with each other and its an almost automatic occurrence that some of you will socially drift toward each other.

But an addiction forms and only people who attend this class for a long time can recognize the symptoms of a legitimate cycling addict. Classes of a really good instructor can be fully occupied. Do you wake up early in the morning or come an hour before class to get a number so you can be assured of a seat? Not only that, you get the number, come in line first and get your favorite bike.

You have become all of a sudden, territorial. Do you make your child wake up the same hour as you do, you become paranoid of the time and rush your child to school? Chances are you already need a rehab.

Do you attend cycling classes almost everyday? Maybe 2 to 3 times, a day? Do you criticize the instructor for not making you work hard enough? Do you choose who you want to lead you thru your sessions?

You join inter-club and intra-club cycling marathons and when you don't win because you believe you have the best outfit and the best form plus the fact that you have been doing this for a long time? Chances are you ought to consult a psychiatrist.
